PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly send out a strip-shaped mount by a release roller, by restraining an adhesive, which remains on the surface of the strip-shaped mount, from adhering to the shaft side of the release roller.SOLUTION: A label printer 1 includes: a print head which performs printing on a label temporarily stuck on a strip-shaped mount 13; a platen roller 15 which sends out the strip-shaped mount 13 in a first direction while sandwiching it between the platen roller and the print head; and a release unit which peels off the label from the strip-shaped mount. The release unit includes: a release roller 10 which sends out the strip-shaped mount 13 in a second direction different from the first direction, while sandwiching the strip-shaped mount in a pressure contact state between the release roller and the platen roller 15, and which makes the label issued by being peeled off from the strip-shaped mount 13; a shaft 622 which rotatably supports the release roller 10; and a pair of auxiliary rollers 17 and 17 which are provided on both rotating-shaft-direction sides of the release roller 10, respectively, and which are rotatably supported by the shaft 622. |
