PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper guide mechanism that hardly changes an urging force applied to a guide member, even when paper widths are different from each other, and can prevent a malfunction such as printing shrinkage by reducing a load of paper conveyance.SOLUTION: A paper guide mechanism includes: a pair of guide members which regulate a width-direction position of paper loaded into a casing of a printer, from both sides; a pair of movement members which are provided with a pair of spur gears, respectively, which are arranged in such a manner as to be movable in parallel along a direction different from the conveyance direction of the paper, and which support the pair of guide members, respectively; a circular gear which is rotatably arranged in a position where the pair of spur gears face each other, and which meshes with the pair of spur gears; at least one folded member which is attached to the casing; and a spring which is folded by the at least one folded member to be connected between one of the pair of movement members and the casing, and which urges one of the pair of movement members toward the other movement member by a contractile force. |
