PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a snow cap removal system and a snow cap removal method, which can improve workability of work for removing snow cap of electric power equipment.SOLUTION: A snow removal system removes a snow cap adhering to a surface of electric power equipment. Injectors 1a and 1b, which include an injection part having an injection port for emitting a jet of compressed gas and liquid and light beam emission parts 4a and 4b for emitting a light beam L in the injection direction of the compressed gas and liquid, are disposed. The light beams L1 and L2 are emitted from the light beam emission parts 4a and 4b of the injectors 1a and 1b. When a range to be irradiated with the light beams L1 and L2 is formed on the snow cap, the snow cap including the range to be irradiated is removed by emitting the jet of compressed gas and liquid from the injectors 1a and 1b toward the range to be irradiated.
