PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To meet a request from users to view a broadcast program quickly when all-channel scan is not completed yet.SOLUTION: A digital television broadcast receiver includes: receiving means 10 for receiving a digital television broadcast signal; control means 20 for performing all-channel scan based on the digital television broadcast signal received by the receiving means 10. The receiving means 10 receives a digital television broadcast signal on a channel selected by the control means 20 and outputs video and audio data corresponding to the received digital television broadcast signal. After the all-channel scan started, if the control means 20 detects channel which can first receive the digital television broadcast signal, it controls the receiving means 10 such that the all-channel scan stops and the digital television broadcast signal is successively received on the first detected channel. |
