PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve stability of data written in a reference cell.SOLUTION: A reference cell MCRH includes a magnetic recording layer 2H formed from a ferromagnetic substance, magnetization fixing layers 11H, 12H bonded to the magnetic recording layer 2H, a magnetization fixing layer 131 bonded to the magnetic recording layer 2H in a position between the magnetization fixing layers 11H, 12H, a reference layer 41H which is provided in a position between the magnetization fixing layers 11H, 12H to be opposed to the magnetic recording layer 2H and has fixed magnetization, and a tunnel barrier layer 31H inserted between the reference layer 41H and the magnetic recording layer 2H. |
