PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device that includes a configuration to prevent, when a cleaning mechanism is provided for a heating roller, reverse transfer of wiped toner to the heating roller to prevent stain damage on a recording sheet, and extend the life of wiping members for wiping toner.SOLUTION: A fixing device includes a heating roller 91 and a pressure roller 92. The heating roller 91 is provided with a cleaning mechanism CL that includes wiping members 90A, 90B, and 90B' capable of moving along a peripheral surface of the heating roller, while contacting the surface of the heating roller; and the cleaning mechanism CL includes the first wiping member 90A capable of contacting substantially the entire area in the longitudinal direction of the heating roller 91, and the second wiping members 90B and 90B' capable of contacting multiple portions in the longitudinal direction of the heating roller 91 other than the area contacted by the first wiping member 90A except a passing position of a recording medium in a circumferential direction of the heating roller 91. |
