PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base structure of a metal pipe column, in which the base structure is simplified, hot-dip plating can be easily applied to the metal pipe column, and the mechanical strength of a part supporting stress in the base structure of the metal pipe column can be prevented from being lowered.SOLUTION: A base structure 1 of a metal pipe column includes: a vertically extending metal pipe column 2; a base plate 3 to which the lower end side of the metal pipe column 2 is bonded; and a cup member 5 of which lower end side is bonded to the base plate 3 over its entire circumference and of which upper end side is bonded to the metal pipe column 2 over its entire outer periphery. A plurality of air vents 6 for plating are provided between the part where the base plate 3 and the metal pipe column 2 are bonded together and the part where the base plate 3 and the cup member 5 are bonded together. |
