PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular data recording device capable of reliably retaining only an airbag deployment event, principally.SOLUTION: A vehicular data recording device includes a storage section for temporarily storing a detection value from a vehicle state detecting sensor, a record and retention section for recording and retaining stored data, and a control section for controlling them, the control section having a determination part for performing event starting determination when the detection value from the sensor exceeds a first threshold, and performing airbag deployment determination when the detection value exceeds a second threshold, and a record and retention control part for performing storage operation to trap the detection value from the vehicular data recording device and store it in the storage section, and performing record and retention operation to store the data the storage section to be recorded and retained by the record and retention section when the determination part performs the event starting determination. The record and retention control part can interrupt the record and retention of a first event, setting an interruption flag, and then performs the record and retention of a second event when the second event occurs during the recording and retaining the first event. |
