PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer packaging material for a lithium ion battery, excellent in moldability and hardly causing cracks in a sealant layer even by cold molding.SOLUTION: In an outer packaging material 1 for a lithium ion battery, a base material layer 11, a first adhesive layer 12, a metal foil layer 13, a corrosion-protection treatment layer 14, a second adhesive layer 15 and a sealant layer 16 are laminated in order. The sealant layer 16 contains random polypropylene, and the random polypropylene has a melt flow rate (temperature: 230°C, and load: 2.16 kgf) of 20-30 g/10 minutes, a melting temperature of 135-140°C, a modulus of elongation of 500-700 MPa, a load deflection temperature (0.45 MPa) of 70-80°C, and a Rockwell hardness (R scale) of 60-70. |
