PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable more suitable image pickup parameters to be set for each scene.SOLUTION: An image pickup device comprises: setting means for setting image pickup parameters; means for picking up an image; means for acquiring current position information; means for displaying subject information; means for accepting an instruction to select subject information; and means for determining whether an image pickup parameter correlated to the selected subject information satisfies a designated condition. The setting means sets an image pickup parameter determined to satisfy the designated condition as an image pickup parameter for the image pickup device. The image pickup parameter correlated to the selected subject information includes image pickup position information indicating the position of some other image pickup device at a time when the subject was photographed by the other image pickup device. The determination means refers to the current position information and the image pickup position information as the determination means determines whether the image pickup parameter correlated to the selected subject information satisfies the designated condition.
