PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a viscous vibration control device which stabilizes attenuation performance of the viscous vibration control wall to be used for vibration control structurization of a superhigh-rise building without reducing the attenuation performance against large-amplitude oscillation due to strong motion at a place close to an epicentral area and repetitive oscillation due to long-duration seismic motion caused by long-period ground motion as well as a massive earthquake.SOLUTION: In a viscous vibration control wall which is a wall member connecting an upper floor and a lower floor of a building or another structure, fluid reservoir portions 38 are arranged at both planar edge sections of a rising wall plate (an outer steel plate) 31 in the viscous vibration control wall, and a hanging wall plate (an inner steel plate) 41 is longer than the outer steel plate 31 so that movement zones of edges of the hanging wall plate (the inner steel plate) 41 are always positioned in the respective fluid reservoir portions at both planner edge sections. |
