PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner that has a high air cleaning effect and avoids unpleasant feeling given to a user.SOLUTION: A vacuum cleaner includes: an electric blower chamber 20 for storing an electric blower 2; a cumulative dust amount storage means for cumulatively storing a dust amount detected by a dust detection means for detecting the amount of sucked dust; an electrostatic atomizing device storage chamber 21 for storing an electrostatic atomizing device 33 for generating charged particulate water and having a charged particulate water discharge port 37 for discharging charged particulate water to the air; and a communication passage 50 communicating with the electric blower chamber 20 and the electrostatic atomizing device storage chamber 21 and allowing a part of exhaust blow of the electric blower 2 to flow into the electrostatic atomizing device storage chamber 21. The vacuum cleaner includes a control section for controlling energization to the electrostatic atomizing device 33, based on the stored cumulative dust amount. When dust inside a dust collection bag 3 is increased and the exhaust blow of the electric blower 2 is reduced, energization to the electrostatic atomizing device 33 is turned off. Thus, an increase in ozone concentration in the electrostatic atomizing device 33 is suppressed, to thereby avoid unpleasant feeling given to a user. |
