PURPOSE: An apparatus for selecting dried food garbage or sludge by cooling is provided to prevent the decay of stored fodder or raw materials and prevent fire hazard in a storage tank by minimizing the temperature difference between the temperature inside and the temperature outside of the storage tank through improving cooling efficiency. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for selecting dried food garbage or sludge by cooling comprises: a main body(100); a drive motor(200) rotating the main body; multiple support rollers(300), a pair of rotary joints; and a feed port for a cooling means(500). The multiple support rollers support the lower part of a circular ring(134). The circular ring is formed inside the container of the main body and enables the main body to be inclined by a predetermined angle. A supply tube and a discharge pipe which are installed on both inner sides of the main body are connected and fixed to rotary joints to be rotated. The feed port for the cooling means is connected to the rotary joint and a nozzle(N) to supply cooling water to the space between the inner container of the main body and the outer container(140), thereby rapidly cooling food garbage or sludge.
