PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a ceramic element in which possibility of insulation deterioration is minimized, by reducing the exposed area of an electrode on the side face of the ceramic element in the lamination direction while securing an effective electrode area.SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing a ceramic element includes a step of producing a green sheet having a ceramic layer containing a binder and two electrode layers laminated, respectively, on both surfaces of the ceramic layer, a calcination step of producing a ceramic element by calcining the green sheet, and a coating step of coating the electrode exposure surface of the green sheet in the lamination direction with a solvent prior to the calcination step. |
