PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cover in which a requirement of light weight, a requirement of high mechanical rigidity and a requirement of high noise absorbing effects are balanced in a higher order.SOLUTION: A cell sound absorber having a honeycomb structure is formed integrally inside of an outer cover surface which is installed to surround an engine within an engine room. In such a case, the cell sound absorber is formed in such a manner that one-side ends of countless cells are closed by the outer cover surface and the other ends of countless cells form a cell opening surface opened toward an engine side. The cell sound absorber is light in weight but effectively reinforces the outer cover surface and effectively absorbs engine noises by taking them from the cell opening surface into the countless cells. |
