PURPOSE: A drug management system and a control method of the same are provided to give identification information to a drug storage box which is discharged according to prescription information, thereby easily performing drug management. CONSTITUTION: A production management unit authenticates genuineness of a drug storage box by registering identification information of each drug storage box. A hospital management unit (40) requests genuineness authentication of the drug storage box by performing communications with the product management unit. The hospital management unit transmits drug discharge information to the product management unit. Multiple drug storage boxes are mounted inside a drug supply device (100). The drug supply device discharges a drug stored in the drug storage box based on prescription information sent by the hospital management unit. A drug supplementary device (30) transmits information of the drug stored in the drug storage box to the hospital management unit.
