PURPOSE: A double sealing structure for an air cylinder is provided to dually seal and block the air cylinder with a piston upper sealing ring and a piston rod packing. CONSTITUTION: A double sealing structure for an air cylinder(1) comprises a piston(2) in the cylinder. A piston rod(3) penetrates through the upper center part of the cylinder, and an air port A(1a) and an air port B(1b) are formed on the top and the bottom of the cylinder respectively. A rubber piston packing(2a) is mounted on the outer periphery of the piston to seal in between the inner wall of the cylinder and the piston. A piston upper sealing ring(4) is mounted on the top of the internal space of the cylinder in order to contact to the top surface of the piston. A piston rod packing(6) contacted to the outer periphery of the piston rod is mounted on the inner side of the upper part of the cylinder where the piston rod penetrates. A cylinder upper sealing ring(8) contacting to the outside of the cylinder is mounted on the top of the cylinder. A rubber sealing cap(7) is fixed on the piston rod in order to contact to the cylinder upper sealing ring when the piston moves backward. |
