PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a highly accurate three-dimensional coordinate measuring machine allowed to be manufactured by a simple configuration and at a low manufacturing cost.SOLUTION: A vertical direction moving apparatus includes a support member 70, a moving member 50 and a moving mechanism installed on the support member to move the moving member in a vertical direction. The moving mechanism includes a driving pulley 71, a driven pulley 72, a balance cylinder 74, and an open driving belt 73 having one end connected to the moving member and the other end connected to a cylinder carriage 75 of the balance cylinder through the driven pulley and the driving pulley. The driving pulley and the driven pulley are arranged so that the open driving belt is located on a centroid of the support member between the driving belt and the driven belt. |
