COLUMN BASE PIN STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column base pin structure for actualizing ideal pin joint of the column base of a SRC column to a foundation.SOLUTION: The lower end of a core steelwork 2 of a column 1 is embedded and anchored into a foundation 4 to isolate the lower end face of a covering concrete 3 from the foundation. The lower end face of the covering concrete consists of a flat and horizontal bearing surface 3a formed around the core steelwork to transmit axial force between the foundation and itself and serve as a relative rotation supporting point, and inclined surfaces 3b formed continuously with the bearing surface to secure clearances 6 between the foundation and each of them to permit the relative rotation. The lower end face of the covering concrete and the upper face of the foundation are each covered with a reinforcing plate 5 of a steel plate.
