摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a peripheral structure for an internal combustion engine, which can reduce a radiation amount from an exhaust manifold and can improve degree of freedom of a mounting layout of onboard auxiliary equipment mounted in the rear of a vehicle of the internal combustion engine.SOLUTION: A peripheral structure for an internal combustion engine includes: an exhaust manifold cooling circuit 51 which cools an exhaust manifold 3 provided in the rear of a vehicle of an engine 1 by circulation of coolant; and a bypass cooling circuit 52 which communicates to the exhaust manifold cooling circuit 51 and is arranged in peripheral space K at onboard auxiliary equipment side between the exhaust manifold 3 and an alternator 4 mounted in the rear of the vehicle of the engine 1. The peripheral structure controls a flow rate of the coolant circulating through the bypass cooling circuit 52 in accordance with a temperature of the alternator 4, by a flow control valve 53.
