PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an electric shock upon contact between input terminals though when a power source is disconnected and the input terminals are in their open state, a voltage is applied to between the input terminals by output of an inverter circuit.SOLUTION: A power conversion apparatus includes: an inverter circuit 100; and short-circuit switches 302 and 304 for bypassing a smoothing capacitor 3. The power conversion apparatus controls the inverter circuit by allowing an output voltage to follow a predetermined voltage and by using a current command so that an input power factor is approximately 1. When an AC power source 1 is disconnected and input terminals t1 and t2 are in their open state during a control operation, a power source disconnection detection means 1000 disposed on a control circuit 10 quickly detects a power source disconnection and stops the operation. |
