PURPOSE: An intelligent power control system for a house and a method thereof are provided to monitor and control a generated power amount and a power consumption amount through an integrated type smart power system (SPS), thereby reducing costs for implementing the intelligent power control system. CONSTITUTION: A power generator generates electricity using alternative energy. An energy storage stores the electricity. A power managing unit (200) supplies the electricity to an electric device. The power managing unit sells remaining electricity to a power institution. The power managing unit includes a Prosuming (providing and consuming) engine (210) which purchases central electricity of the power institution and supplies the central electricity to the electric device. A power switch (220) performs switching by control of the Prosuming engine.
