PURPOSE: A leakage detecting apparatus of an electric vehicle and a leakage detecting method using thereof are provided to detect the leakage in which the vehicle body is connected to both an anode and a cathode of a battery pack, and save the resource and time used for the leakage detecting. CONSTITUTION: A leakage detecting apparatus(100) is comprised of a first switch(SW1), a second switch(SW2), a battery pack voltage detection unit(110), and a detection resistor(Rm). The first switch and the second switch are mutually connected in series between anode and cathode of the battery pack(10). The battery pack voltage detection unit is connected in series between anode and cathode of the battery pack. The detection resistor is connected between a common contact point of the first switch and the second switch and the vehicle body(GND).
