PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of uniformly transferring developer even onto a recording medium having irregularities to improve quality of an image transferred onto the recording medium.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus includes: a conveying unit 200 that conveys a recording medium P; an image forming unit 100 that forms an image; the conveying unit 200 that conveys the recording medium P to the image forming unit 100; and a transfer unit 300 that applies transfer bias to transfer the image onto the recording medium P. The image forming unit 100 and the recording medium P are arranged separated from each other, and the transfer bias is obtained by superposing an AC component on a DC component. |
