PURPOSE: A controller for an electric mat is provided to prevent a fire due to overheat of a heater by including an overheat preventing function using a timer. CONSTITUTION: A spark preventing device(30) prevents a spark due to the disconnection of a heater. A heater overheat preventing device(40) prevents the heater from being overheated due to the disconnection of a sensor. A long time overheat preventing unit(50) prevents overheat using a timer. A display device(60) digitally displays a current temperature and sets a temperature. A control unit(70) controls the heater overheat preventing device and the long time overheat preventing device.
