PURPOSE: An air filter with a significant effect on filtration of super fine particles and sterilization is provided to effectively remove fine dust and motes in air as ultrafine particles are easily adhered on a filter by constructing the filter to have a filter material coated with a positively charged material, a catalyst, and an absorbent. CONSTITUTION: An air filter with a significant effect on filtration of super fine particles and sterilization comprises a catalyst and a positively charged material. The catalyst is a metal or a metal oxide. The positive charge material is chitosan or quaternary ammonium in a filter material including an absorbent and a binder. The filter material is formed of one or at least two compounds selected from polyethylenenaphthalate, polyester, polypropylene, polystyrene, polyethylene, polypropylene, polyvinylchloride, ethylenevinylacetate, polyethyleneterephthalate, polycarbonate, polybutyleneterephthalate, polyacetal, polyamide, glass fibers, ceramic fibers, and silica glass fibers. |
