PURPOSE: An image display system and a driving method thereof are provided to improve visibility without regard to the viewing position of a user, by correcting a gamma value or image data according to the eye-gaze direction of the user. CONSTITUTION: A camera unit (100) generates a user image signal by photographing a user. A user analysis unit (600) receives the user image signal, and calculates eye-gaze direction of the user on the ground of the user image signal. A gamma correction unit (700) generates a correction gamma value on the ground of the eye-gaze direction. A gamma voltage generation unit (800) generates a gamma voltage on the ground of the correction gamma value. A display panel (200) displays an image corresponding to the gamma voltage.
