PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a latching device which enables a latch of a latch body to be reliably set to a catch paired with the latch.SOLUTION: A latching device 1 includes a latch body 4 which is attached to a casing body 2, and a catch 5 which is attached to a lid 3. The latching body 4 includes a control lever 20 and a latch 30 which is latched to the catch 5. The latch 30 comprises both side parts 31, a latching part 32 which is brought into contact with a retainer part 52 of the catch 5, both guide parts 33 which are formed in a tapered shape between both the side parts 31 and the latching part 32, and both holding edges 34b which are provided inside the latching part 32 and which are brought into contact with both side edges 53 of the catch 5 in the state of facing each other in a lateral direction. |
