ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY AND LITHIUM SECONDARY BATTERY COMPRISING THE SAME

PURPOSE: An electrode assembly has high porosity by having high output performance and has excellent high temperature stability, thereby preventing the internal short due to high temperature shrinkage for removing moisture by using a lithium titanium oxide. CONSTITUTION: An electrode assembly includes a separator arranged between a positive electrode, a negative electrode, and a separator arranged between the positive electrode and the negative electrode. The negative electrode includes a lithium titanium oxide as a negative active material. The separator is a nonwoven fabric. The lithium titanium oxide is a compound represented by chemical formula 1: Li_aTi_bO_4. In chemical formula 1, 0.5<=a<=3 and 1<=b<=2.5. The nonwoven fabric separator is formed of polytetra fluoroethylene or polyester. The porosity of the nonwoven fabric is 45-90%.
