PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a propellant that can further reduce variations in initial speed by suppressing the occurrence of abnormal pressure such as negative differential pressure in the initial stage of combustion of the propellant.SOLUTION: A propellant 20A for ammunition is formed in columnar shape with an end face 20T orthogonal to an axis ZC direction, and a side face 20S parallel with the axis ZC direction, and has at least seven center part through-holes 21E parallel with an axial direction in a center region 21A on the inside of the side face at the end face and arranged to have uniform center part through-hole spaces K1 between the respectively adjacent center part through-holes 21E. In the propellant 20A, the side face 20S is formed with a plurality of first cuts 23 having a width L42 and a depth L43 not larger than the center part through-hole space K1 and parallel with the axial ZC direction. |
