PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that develops an electrostatic latent image on an image carrier by causing a developing roller to carry only toner thereon, and recovers a toner that is not supplied to the image carrier and floats around the developing roller.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 1 includes control means for controlling respective rotation drive of a magnetic roller 21 and a developing roller 20. The control means can execute, during non-image formation period, a toner recovery mode for intermittently rotating the magnetic roller 21 and the developing roller 20 in a direction reverse to a direction during image formation period, and subsequently rotating the magnetic roller 21 in a regular direction and then rotating in a reverse direction. |
