PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To supply sufficient oil to a sliding surface of a timing chain in a chain tensioner or a chain guide.SOLUTION: A chain tensioner 30 includes an oil receiving part 33 of recessed shape provided in an upper end face 32d; an oil passage 34 arranged on the rear face side of a sliding surface 31a of a timing chain 11 along the sliding surface 31a and leading to the oil receiving part 33; and oil outlet holes 35 connected to the oil passage 34 and penetrating the sliding surface 31a. |
