PURPOSE: An instrusion prevention apparatus for a mobile device and a method thereof are provided to enable offloading of treatment requirements by a specialized firmware. CONSTITUTION: A pattern detector module investigates a received pattern. The pattern detector module displays the received pattern as a doubtful or normal pattern according to the filtering setting. A packet filter module (102) filters a packet at a kernel level. The packet filter module transmits the received pattern to the pattern detector module. A computer readable kernel expansion module detects a pattern of the displayed packets. If the packets are not displayed, the computer readable kernel expansion module further investigates a packet in a next low level software layer.
