PURPOSE: A method for managing terminal information about a portable terminal and a server thereof and a portable terminal are provided to keep information like personal telephone list data of a user stored in the portable terminal in a separate server, or to delete the material which can cause invasion of personal privacy. CONSTITUTION: A server control unit (320) requests one of transmission and deletion of terminal information to a portable terminal corresponding to network address information. The server control unit collects and transmits the terminal information by enabling the portable terminal to drive an information management application. The server control unit transmits deletion history information according to the deletion of the terminal information. The server control unit receives and stores one of the terminal information and the deletion history information. A server interface unit (310) transmits and receives the information management application, the network address information, the terminal information, and the deletion history information.
