PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small and compact denitration catalyst unit inserted type muffler having a function of removing even a solid material contained in exhaust gas, in a muffler-integrated denitration device.SOLUTION: A denitration catalyst unit inserted type muffler 10 as a muffler arranged in the middle of an exhaust path discharging exhaust gas from an internal combustion engine includes: a body outer cylinder 11; an inflow port 12 into which exhaust gas is made to flow; a front end plate 14 attached with the inflow port 12 and connected to a front end 13 of the body outer cylinder 11; an outflow port 15 of which the exhaust gas finished in treatment is made to flow out; a rear end plate 17 attached with the outflow port 15 and connected to a rear end 16 of the body outer cylinder 11; denitration catalyst units 20 performing denitration by using a reducing agent injected into the exhaust gas by a reducing agent injection means 22 while leaving spaces 19, 20 in front of and behind a flow direction in the body outer cylinder 11; and an agitation means 21 provided between the inflow port 12 and the denitration catalyst units 20 and treating a solid material in the exhaust gas.
