PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that dehumidification cannot be carried out when a load decreases.SOLUTION: In an air conditioner, an indoor heat exchanger has an auxiliary heat exchanger 20 and a main heat exchanger 21 that is arranged on the downstream side of the auxiliary heat exchanger 20. During operation in a predetermined dehumidifying operation mode, all of the liquid refrigerant supplied to the auxiliary heat exchanger 20 evaporates partway through the auxiliary heat exchanger 20. As a result, only a portion of the upstream side of the auxiliary heat exchanger 20 is an evaporation region, and the area on the downstream side of the evaporation region for the auxiliary heat exchanger 20 is a superheating region. In addition, during the predetermined dehumidifying operation, a compressor and an expansion valve are controlled so that the area of the evaporation region of the auxiliary heat exchanger 20 changes in accordance with a load. |
