PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a PAPR and control the degree of reduction in the PAPR in OFDM based communication.SOLUTION: A modulation unit 11 generates a modulation signal from an input signal, a serial-parallel conversion unit 12 generates a subcarrier modulation signal from remaining data and the modulation signal, and a calculation unit 13 generates calculation data by aligning in order and combining a first prescribed number of elements from the head of the subcarrier modulation signal, and a second prescribed number of elements from the head of a series of data about which each element was multiplied by a prescribed amplitude factor. An IFFT unit 14 performs inverse fast Fourier transformation of the calculation data, and a combination unit 15 generates a baseband signal from the calculation result. A determination unit 16 calculates a peak-to-average power ratio of the baseband signal. Until a baseband signal meeting a prescribed criterion is detected, processing from the calculation unit 13 to the determination unit 16 is repeated by changing at least either one of the prescribed numbers. A transmission unit 17 generates a transmission signal from the baseband signal and transmits it via an antenna 10. |
