PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable reduction in power consumption in main storage apparatuses.SOLUTION: A determination unit determines whether a second main storage apparatus, which consumes more power than a first main storage apparatus, can be suspended. When the determination unit determines that the second main storage apparatus can be suspended, a power management unit suppresses power supplied to the second main storage apparatus and at least one of multiple CPU cores. This technique is applicable, e.g., to a memory control apparatus that controls a first main storage apparatus with low power consumption and a second main storage apparatus with power consumption higher than said low power consumption. |
