PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact linear actuator configured to increase a deceleration ratio, and an electric brake including the same.SOLUTION: A linear actuator includes an inner tooth member 14 and an outer tooth member 15. The inner tooth member 14 is supported by a housing 11 to be axially movable concentrically with a rotary shaft 12. The outer tooth member 15 is disposed between an eccentric shaft part 16 and the inner tooth member 14 so as to be relatively rotatable concentrically with the eccentric shaft part 16 and so as not to be axially moved. The inner tooth member 14 includes an inner gear 17 with a plurality of teeth 17a formed on the inner peripheral surface thereof, and a female screw part 18 with a thread groove 18a formed concentrically with the inner gear 17 to cross the plurality of teeth 17a. The outer tooth member 15 includes an outer gear 19 having a plurality of teeth 19a formed on the outer peripheral surface thereof and inscribed to the inner gear 17, and a male screw part 20 provided concentrically with the outer gear 19 and connected to the outer gear 19 in the axial direction. |
