PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve workability in mounting a hydraulic control unit on a vehicle body, while protecting the hydraulic control unit and concentrating vehicle weight mass.SOLUTION: A saddle riding type vehicle 1 includes: a vehicle body frame 4 arranged between a front wheel 2 and a rear wheel 3; a fuel tank 19 installed on the vehicle body frame 4; and a hydraulic brake system 30 which brakes the front wheel 2 and the rear wheel 3. The brake system 30 has a hydraulic control unit 33 for automatically controlling a braking force to be applied on the front wheel 2 and the rear wheel 3. The fuel tank 19 has a recessed part 19a formed by denting upward the center part in vehicle width direction of a bottom surface. The hydraulic control unit 33 is mounted on the vehicle body frame 4 so that at least a part of the unit protrudes upward from the vehicle body frame 4 and is housed in the recessed part 19a of the fuel tank 19.
