COLUMN BASE PIN STRUCTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a column base pin structure for actualizing ideal pin joint of the column base of a SRC column to a foundation.SOLUTION: A base plate 2a provided at the lower end of a core steelwork 2 of a column 1 is fixed to the foundation with anchor bolts 5 to isolate a covering concrete 3 of the column from the foundation. To the foundation, bearing plates 6 are fixed at positions around the base plate to constrain the relative displacement in the horizontal direction of the core steelwork to the foundation. The bearing plates support the covering concrete in a floatable manner to permit the relative rotation in a vertical plane of the covering concrete to the foundation with the bearing plates as supporting points.
