PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently extend a head within a short time by eliminating complicated work such as the dismantling, lifting, conveyance, or reinstallation of a temporary machine room, when the head of an elevator for construction is extended to the upper part of a hoistway matched together with the progress of construction work.SOLUTION: A hoistway 10 of a car 17 is built in a building in construction. After a construction progress reaches a first planned floor, as a machine room for an elevator for construction, a car type moving machine room 30 guided on a guide rail laid in the hoistway 10 is lifted to be disposed at the first planned floor, and a main cable 16 is wound around a hoisting machine 15 installed in the car type moving machine room 30 to temporarily dispose the elevator for construction. The hoistway is extended to the next planned floor before the construction progress reaches the next planned floor. After the construction progress reaches the next planned floor, the main cable is removed, the car type moving machine room 30 is moved to the next planned floor using a lifting device and the machine room is rearranged, and the main cable is wound around the hoisting machine 15 and the elevator for construction is temporarily disposed again. |
