PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a resolver, which is capable of performing highly accurate rotation angle detection by reducing an influence of leakage magnetic flux from a rotation axis, and a rotary electric machine for a vehicle, in which the resolver is embedded.SOLUTION: A rotation angle detector includes: a resolver stator; and a resolver rotor having an outer peripheral surface in an uneven shape, which opposes an inner peripheral surface of the resolver stator with a gap therebetween, and provided with a fitting hole in its center portion, which is fitted around a rotation axis, wherein the resolver rotor includes a long hole for shielding leakage magnetic flux that is provided in an axial direction so as to extend along an outer peripheral surface of the rotation axis and shields magnetic flux leaking via the rotation axis. |
