PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging probe for OCT, capable of being safely inserted into a living body, scanning and emitting light and receiving reflected light.SOLUTION: A probe is turned to a cylindrical shape of a narrow diameter with an outer diameter being 1 mm&phgr; or smaller, and a distal end face is in a shape of being rounded outward. An optical transmission medium is provided inside the probe, and light is scanned by changing an incidence position to the optical transmission medium. In such a manner, even when an imaging probe is inserted into a living body, influence on the living body is reduced, and a cross sectional image of a surface scanned using an OCT apparatus can be obtained. |
