PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell system capable of suppressing the oxidative volatilization of active metal configuring a catalyst in a reformer.SOLUTION: A fuel cell system 1 includes: a high-temperature type fuel cell 31; a reformer 11 having a catalyst, and making fuel and vapor react on the catalyst under high temperature to generate hydrogen; a temperature detecting portion 52 capable of detecting the temperature of the fuel and the vapor in the fuel vapor supply line L6; a λ sensor 53 connected to the fuel vapor supply line L6, and capable of detecting an air ratio λ which is a ratio of air to the fuel and the vapor in the fuel vapor supply line L6; and a control portion 51 for, when the air ratio detected by the λ sensor 53 is λ>1, controlling a fuel supply portion so as to stop the supply of fuel by the fuel supply portion, controlling a vapor supply portion so as to stop the supply of vapor by the vapor supply portion, and controlling a purge portion so as to supply purge gas to the fuel vapor supply line L6 by the purge portion. |
