PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably match a sheet conveyance direction to a direction perpendicular to the sheet conveyance direction to obtain favorable alignment accuracy.SOLUTION: A sheet processing apparatus includes an end face stapling processing tray F on which sheets S to be conveyed are placed, a posterior end reference fence 51 and a beating roller 12 which match a conveyance direction of the sheets S or a sheet bundle SB placed on the end face stapling processing tray F, a jogger fence 53 which matches a direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction of the sheets S or the sheet bundle SB placed on the end face stapling processing tray F, a pressing member 110 which presses an end portion at a preset side of the sheet bundle SB, and a CPU_PD1 which causes matching operation by the posterior end fence 51 and the beating roller 12 and/or matching operation by the jogger fence 53 while the pressing member 110 performs pressing operation on the sheets S or the sheet bundle SB. |
