PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a blade represented by a surgical blade or a shaving blade which is durable and sharp, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A method of manufacturing a blade includes a step of treating a base metal material having a processed surface obtained by processing, with plasma generated in an atmosphere filled with a mixed gas mainly composed of a main gas and a reactant gas.
