PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber composition for a studless tire capable of improving performance on ice and snow, wet grip performance and abrasion resistance in a good balance; and to provide a studless tire manufactured using the rubber composition for a studless tire.SOLUTION: A rubber composition for a studless tire includes: a rubber component, silica and a silane coupling agent. In 100 mass% of the rubber component, a content of a conjugated diene polymer including a structural unit based on conjugated diene and a structural unit represented by formula (I) and having at least one end modified by a specific compound is ≥5 mass%. A content of the silica is 5-150 pts.mass for 100 pts.mass of the rubber component. The silane coupling agent has a mercapto group. |
