PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pneumatic tire configured to improve chipping resistance without deteriorating passing noise.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire includes a plurality of main grooves 5 formed in a tread part 1 so as to extend in a tire circumferential direction while meandering in a zigzag form or in a wave form. Multiple rows of land parts 6 are formed by the main grooves 5. A plurality of lug grooves 7 are formed at least in one row of the land parts 6 so as to extend in a tire width direction. At least one opening end of each of the lug grooves 7 is arranged at the top position of a protrusion 6a protruding outward in the tire width direction in the land part 6. A reinforcing rubber layer 12 having higher hardness than that of a cap tread rubber layer 11 constituting the tread part 1 is arranged on the protrusion 6a so as to be exposed to the inner wall surface of the main groove 5. The amplitude Wg of the main groove 5 is set to 2-15 mm, while the width Wr of the reinforcing rubber layer 12 is set within a range of 50-100% of the amplitude Wg of the main groove 5. |
