PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid discharge apparatus which has a belt accurately provided with determined tension, wherein the belt is wrapped around a pulley and moves a carriage.SOLUTION: A fixing part 35 of a pulley holder for holding a tension pulley is held in a vertical direction between a guide rail 6 which is arranged in the upper side of the fixing part 35 and is provided with a shaft of another pulley and a sliding surface of a carriage, and an installation part 28b of a plate 28 arranged on the lower side of the fixing part 35, and is fixed to the guide rail 6 and the plate 28 by a bolt 41a penetrating the guide rail 6, the fixing part 35 and the installation part 28b, and a nut 41b installed to the bolt 41a. At this time, the installation part 28b has a displacement amount due to force in a vertical direction, which is larger than the guide rail 6, and is curved on the side of the guide rail 6.
